Mar 24th, 2015, SAFEA & METEN ENGLISH Joint TEFL Training Program is about to kick off! All participants are gradually arriving in Chongqing—a city famous for its spicy cuisine and profound historical heritage.
We firstly introduce to the team our Meten Training Center and the surrounding shopping malls, so that everyone can settle down quickly and have no problem in taking care of themselves in the coming week.
Early the next day, Intensive Training officially starts! Everyone is formally dressed to present a professional image. A sense of belonging is bonding everyone into a tight knit team. Through communication and interaction on the first night, no one feels the cultural shock that new comers usually encounter.
Maggie, Vice President of Meten, has managed to meet everyone on the first day and delivered an opening speech.Everyone can feel the very warm welcome from Meten Family.
Chongqing is the place renowned for its Spicy Hot Pot! There is no reason that we can’t make time out of the busy schedule haha. We have specially arranged our Welcome Dinner at a very local Hotpot Restaurant. Welcome to China, everybody!
“Work hard! Play hard!” is a shared philosophy. Everyone joins the lecture attentively, participates in group discussions and starts real Demo Class preparation right from Day One.
Knowing our new program is being held in Chongqing, Dan, from Meten Chengdu, makes time to visit and share his own experience with Meten. Such experience sharing has further convinced everyone that Meten would be a nice company to work for.
Apart from hard work and delicious food, we still make time to experience a little bit of Chinese culture. Although the weather on the day isn’t perfect because of the rain, everyone is still very passionate about all the new things in China, embracing all kinds of varieties.
After several days’ intensive training, it is finally our Show Time! For many, this is their very first time in formal teaching, especially to a group of Chinese adult students. Students at Meten centers are swarming into the classroom…
After 3 days’ continuous demo presentations, everyone is yet to relax. Angie, from SAFEA in Beijing, flew all the way to Chongqing to meet up with everyone and supervise the Exam! We wish everyone the best of luck!
It finally comes to an end of the short and rewarding training program. Everyone treasures this one week experience and valuable friendships made. On behalf of Meten English, we wish everyone a wonderful year in China!
